Frequently asked questions
Can I hold the property through a company?
Yes, in your own name or through your company or foundation.
How is this different from the Qualified Investor visa?
Qualified Investor requires a higher investment certified by MICI and gives permanent residency from the start. This route starts at $300,000 and passes through two years of provisional residency.
Does a mortgaged property qualify?
The property must be free of liens, so a mortgage registered against it is a problem. We check this in the title study before you commit.
How long are my documents valid?
Six months from the date each document was issued, not from the date it was apostilled. That is why we ask you to request them close to filing rather than at the start of your planning.
